I'm curious if it has anything to do with permissions or the wrong directory. Or if it's not connecting properly to my DB. I have absolutely no clue what any of this means.

Please take it easy on me. I'm new to MODX. I'm trying to learn quickly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.]]> Wed, 22 Oct 2014 11:58:03 +0000
<![CDATA[Free MODX theme - Stanley]]>
I wanted to share with you a clean and simple MODX theme.

STANLEY is a responsive, multi-page MODX theme / template for freelancers. This is a really simple theme for those wanting to showcase their work with a cute & clean style.

Demo and download:

  1. Upload the zip file package manually, with the FTP client of your choice to the core/packages/ of your MODX Revolution clean installation.
  2. Login to your modx manager and then click System > Package managment.
  3. Click the arrow on the button "Download extra" and then click Search Locally For Packages.
  4. On available package list you will find package named stanley. Clik the button install.

*If you having problems with theme installation go to MODX manager -> System -> System Settings -> Filter by area: File System and Server. Set the "Force PCLZip Archives" (archive_with) setting to "Yes". This will force MODx to use PCLZip instead of ZipArchive.

<![CDATA[Support/Comments for Basic Kickstart 1.0 and kRed 1.0 Revolution Site Themes]]>
I used the ThemePackagerComponent extra for them, and it's a bit buggy. While both theme packages install as expected in 2.2.x and 2.3, there will be a bunch of odd messages in the installer console, and they don't uninstall well at all.

I would recommend not trying to uninstall them from the Package Manager. While they will happily uninstall FormIt and pdoTools, even if you had installed those packages yourself previously, they will, in the end, fail to uninstall themselves. Just remove or repurpose the templates and chunks, and delete the supporting assets/themes/ directories. You can unpublish and repurpose the resources, if you installed the sample content.

Please answer a few questions regarding the development of a module for MODx Evo (1.0.10).
1. Is it possible to expand the edit form of the document is not at the expense of TV-parameters, and programmatically through the API and run it through a module?
2. Is it possible to programmatically create a TV-parameters and bind them to the template? And how is it good or bad from the point of view of the developer MODx Evo?]]> Mon, 02 Sep 2013 09:04:37 +0000

<![CDATA[MODX Evo Manager Theme: MODxCarbonSolid]]>
I wanted to share with you a clean and simple MODX theme that I made some time ago.
It is a straight evolution of default theme.

  • clean
  • removed most of gradients
  • new context menu in site tree
  • bigger input fields (but not too big)
  • rounded corners here and there
  • new buttons style
  • new tabs style
  • new elements list style
  • smaller font size
  • some fixes like div positions

Who knows maybe it will become default theme in official release one day? wink

Screenshots in attachments.
Download it here.

In addition pack contains mod of login and welcome pages ("assets" dir).
If you want theme only, use "manager" dir.

Let me know what do you think about it.]]> Sat, 30 Mar 2013 07:13:15 +0000
<![CDATA["Inherit Selected Template" in Revolution?]]>

which looks like what I’m looking for. So, I was wondering whether either:

1. it’s safe to use this plugin in Revolution (and if so, how do I go about doing that?)

2. there’s a similar extension for Revolution, or a way to do this without needing to get an extension.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can give me a quick pointer here :~}
