Only ImageMagick for thumbnails? No another way?

Hi, all

I don't have ImageMagick on my Host-Server, only GD2 support. Is it means that i don't have a way to use Gallery on this server?

Site moved to another hosting-provider, ImageMagick is present but...
Files in "/assets/components/gallery/cash" don't creates when i add images in Album. Only field name displayed. What's wrong? In my local server all working :-( This is not a copy but the same installation and snippet/chanks changes.

Previous post was solved very simply I am deleted all old Albums and created new again. All functionality on a new hosting provider working properly.

But what about a subj? Is provider w/o installed ImageMagick so seldom and I am was lucky beggar?

I am having the same exact problem.

I have phpthumb & ImageMagick installed.
I deleted all my albums and created a new one. I inserted an image.

I only see the image name (given name), but I don't see the thumbnail. Same in the website. Here is a link:

Here is an example of the thumb it is trying to display:

I am solved this problem after deleted all cash in /assets/components/gallery/cash and /assets/components/phpthumbof/cash and deleted album and created again. My be you need to deleted all files in /assets/components/gallery/files before create new album. You may try recreate one album.

Now I am have working version (for example http://www.melluna.com/projects-partners/projects/projects2011/project00002.html). Sorry, this is only Russian-languages site but pictures are pictures

And once more - check rights for this folders for write.

You say it is only the thumb, what does that mean? Does it mean phpthumb not working?

If i open the link like this below, it doesnt work.

another thing i noticed, but not sure if is correct or not.

For example, in "/assets/components/gallery/cache/", i have a file name showing as:
_servername_siteuser_public_html_assets_components_gallery_files_5_17.jpg.e7c5edab29acd642b0917a2e1aef34bd.jpg

In system settings for phpthumb, i set the following path & url for cache:
cache path: /servername/siteuse/public_html/assets/components/phpthumb/cache/
cache url: /assets/components/phpthumb/cache/

Also, /assets/components/phpthumb/cache/ is empty, it has NO files in it.

Is this correct?

/assets/components/gallery/cache/ - in this folder saved thumbnails for gallery interface, for slide show on you web page, and big picture on you web page. File name such as
_servername_siteuser_public_html_assets_components_gallery_files_5_17.jpg.e7c5edab29acd642b0917a2e1aef34bd.jpg is correct. You may find 3 the same pictures with different size for each original picture.

/assets/components/phpthumb/cache/ - it is correct. This folder for using phpthumb snippet directly (resize pictures in page)

I don't change system parametrs:
- phpthumbof.cache_path - (empty)
- phpthumbof.cache_url - (empty)

But for Gallery system settings I have;
gallery.assets_path - /home1/mellunac/public_html/assets/components/gallery/
gallery.core_path - /assets/components/gallery/

... 7 parametrs
