Are there any tutes, plugins, pointers on how to create a blog in Modx?
I’ve seen a few questions, some broken links, but so far no answers.

OK,
but Modx says to no longer use Ditto and use getresource instead.
Is it a similar process?

getResource sounds like a MODx api. Ditto + Reflect + Jot are the only way to go with blogging.
Mostly harmless.

getRessorces is for MODx Revolution, not Evo

Yes, getResources is only for MODx 2.0 (Revolution). The parameters are very similar and most Ditto parameters will work with getResources. Revolution also has a commenting snippet called Quip.

Thanks Hotdiggity,
well that was ridiculously easy.
PS Got any more links to those heaps of tutes you mentioned.

You don’t necessarily have to integrate Wordpress into MODx to get a functional blog...
Ditto/getResources + Jot/Quip works fine for a simple blog. (Reflect can be used to archive, can’t remember the Revo equivalent atm)
If you’re really serious about blogging and want way more advanced features, a Wordpress integration could be useful.
