Answered How to: Show content based on number of children

I have landing page which is listing child resources. It will need a "load more" link at the bottom of the page which will load the next resources (AJAX load more).

I'd like for the "load more" link to only show after X amount of child resources appear. Basically, if I set the limit on getPage to 12 but there are only 3 child resources being listed, I don't want the "load more" link showing until there's 13 child resources.

How would I go about this?
