I have MODX Revo 2.3.2 and created some time ago a second media source to use with the client's image template variables. The media source has now disappeared. Clicking the Media Sources tab at the top of the manager area shows only the default Filesystem source, although beneath it says: Displaying 1-1 of 3. And if I try to recreate the media source with the same name I am told a source with the that name exists, so it seems to exist but is not showing and the manager seems to want to deny its existence.

When the media source disappears I also (as admin super user) do not have access to the template variables so cannot change those on the resources. And cannot update my own permissions to access a media source whose existence the manager flatly denies.

Any ideas about what has gone wrong and how to make the media source visible again?

(Note: I did delete the cache in Cpanel and refresh the browser, but that didn't help.)
    • Possibly a corrupted database table; try checking and repairing the tables.

      • You also might want to try BobRay's SiteCheck, it's not free, but it's not expensive and it's often quite helpful.

As it happens, I had already bought Bob's very nice Site Check. I have run that and the site passes all checks. Zero errors.

Not sure about any database problems that Site Check doesn't check. There was a problem with some odd charactersets in certain rows in the past, but another ace Bob Ray script cleaned those up and now everything is UTF8.

Thank you, though, Susan, for those two suggestions.

BTW, I did try re-running setup. But nothing was picked up or fixed.

I am having to quickly find a work around because photos are now disappearing on the front end of the website when I save resources with TVs that use the media resource that the manager refuses to recognise.
