I assisted with the migration of a modx install from plesk to cpanel hosting.
After updating all the paths etc., as in the docs - had some functionality BUT certain things remain broken.
The data is there in the database, but in the backend etc., is not displayed.

I have tried to upgrade - because the site was really old. So I just completed the upgrade to the most recent stable from the old one (2.0.8) and that doesn't appear to have fixed anything.

At this point I don't want to mess it up further and was hoping to find someone who knows modx and would be able to assist?
    Thanks.
    • Do you have a backup of the original version, before the upgrade?

Yeah I do. I'm going back to the original site - upgrading it there, then migrating it again to see if it works.

          • I would recommend upgrading in increments, from 2.0 to 2.1, then to 2.2, then try 2.2.14. There are a couple of gaps in the upgrades where it doesn't correctly update the database, and you'll end up with a non-functional site because it can't find the fields it needs.
