    Hello,
as the title says, the System Setting cache file (/core/cache/system_settings/config.cache.php) is not refreshed with the new settings values. Not if I clear the site cache, and not if I change the value of a setting from the manager.

Is there something wrong? [ed. note: mjsarfatti last edited this post 9 years, 10 months ago.]

    • As far as I know, clearing the cache from the Site menu only clears resources and elements. I believe the System Settings cache is cleared if a setting is changed.

Just checked, and indeed the config.cache.php file is re-written if a setting is changed. So if yours isn't, then something is wrong. Check the MODX error log, and maybe your server's PHP error logs.

Uhm I deleted the file manually and now it does refresh if I change a setting... probably a temporary problem.

        • Yeah, sometimes those cache files get hung and MODX has trouble writing to them.
