Is there an extra/plugin for redirecting old document resource urls to new ones?
I used to use Virtual Aliases but that no longer works, and it hasn't been updated in four years.
You could create a TV to hold all the mutant urls for each doc.
Thanks

Have you looked into Redirector

Personally I don't do 301 directs but let a search plugin on 404 suggest new address to the visitor or just set up the old address as a weblink.

Is that 404 plugin an extra? I was just thinking of writing one.
I generally do all rewrites in .htaccess. It's quite fast that way.

It's an Evo plugin that shouldnt be to hard to rewrite.

I've never been able to get Redirector to even install properly. I've tried it on various sites on different hosts and it always either breaks the manager panel or throws up error after error.

Anyone?
I'd really like something like Redirector or Virtual Aliases that actually worded with Revo.
From the look of the other support threads no-one's ever been able to get either to work for the past three years.
If anyone has, please let me know how you did it. When I install Redirector and then access it thru Components it loads the 404 page, before leaving my Manager completely blank. A very nerve wracking experience.
If there's no extra I'll just have to do it via htaccess rewrites.
Thanks

Rewrites in .htaccess are what I use. They're extremely fast and very easy to add once you get one or two working.
