MODX 1 and 2 (Evo and Revo) are STILL discussed in the same forum. It's confusing when people answers wrong questions in the wrong thread. I suggested a distinctive color change years ago...
I went to work with the MODX Website and 2 lines of jQuery:

Here is a small improvement that looks for both "Evo" and "Evolution" and
not makes EVO look like an error :-P

1. add id="version" to the last container nav > li > a
<li class="last clearfix"><a id="version" href="...
2. Inside the bottom wait() of the LABjs (same instance where jQuery is loaded add:
var ourVers = $("a#version").text().split(' ')[0];
if(ourVers == "Evo" || ourVers == "Evolution") { $("#version").css("color","Teal").css("font-size","1.05em"); }

+1 !
This would be *really* helpful, imo.

Thanks Bob! Wish this got attention and more people requested it...
While I agree this is a simple change. I am not sure I understand the problem. Will the colored breadcrumbs help people post in the right sub-forums? While this change is fine with me, I am unsure of how this will solve the problem, or I am misunderstanding, which could easily be the case.

The problem is that people mix EVO and REVO and what's being discussed. A lot of awesome answers go wasted.
I'm sure it will make a difference. Test it!
I don't mind putting the change in place at all (other than the fact Discuss is a mess to work with). That being said. I suspect there could be more powerful ways to help people choose the correct forum into which to post.

I've spent time writing (and sometimes posting) incorrect code because it was for the wrong platform.
In addition, there are often questions in a subject line that I can answer for one platform but not the other. I have to read the post to find out which platform it's about, and many posters neglect to specify it until asked (which often delays the answer by a day or so).
I used to post answers with code for both platforms in some cases, but it's not really practical given the amount of traffic we have now.
It sounds to me that it might be beneficial to have a radio input for MODX Version? I think only color highlighting the breadcrumbs seems like it's unlikely to solve the problem BobRay is describing. Thoughts?
