    Hello!

    "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '{' in /home/*******/public_html/core/config/config.inc.php on line 13"

    This error appears when system should to delete setup folder.
    The line 13 is:
    $database_user = '{database_user}';

    Help me pls.
    ps: sorry for my english smiley
    • The config.inc.php didn't get written correctly. Sounds like some files didn't get uploaded. How did you install MODX? Did you unzip it on your computer, then upload the files with FTP?

        thanks fo answer.
        No, I downloaded zip archive on hosting, when unziped it in cPanel.
        • Hm. Well, the config.inc.php file was definitely not written correctly, that {$database_user} should have been converted to the actual database user you supplied during the installation. Maybe you can try installing again? Occasionally there are glitches in the process.

              It was a trouble with cash in google chrome.
              Installation completed successfully when I used mozilla firefox.

                Chrome is quicker but slightly less reliable than Firefox.
