  • What exactly is meant by "--name="MyMODXSite" in the teleport command line?

    I tried it with an arbitrary name, and ended up with a whole bunch of lines
    [2013-12-09 01:09:40] (ERROR in xPDOConnection::connect @ /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/revo2210/core/xpdo/xpdo.class.php : 3051) SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] No such file or directory

    It did go on to create a package, which does absolutely nothing from the database when installed; it does move files into assets and core/components.

    This is on a localhost installation with both installation in subdirectories.

      This is only used on the --action=Profile when creating a profile. It is the name given to the Profile that is created based on the core_path provided.
      • Ok. So an arbitrary name will do fine. Any suggestions as to what to do about that inability to get the database going? At that line, it looks like it's trying to write some output to a log file but can't find the file to write to.

        • Susan, have you seen the docs distributed with Teleport?

          https://github.com/modxcms/teleport/blob/master/doc/start.md

          If the MODX install works, it should already be able to connect to the database. The Profile action specifically writes the resulting file into a profile/ subdirectory of the current working directory. It should try to create it if it does not exist. Also, make sure you are running teleport as the same user running PHP in your web environment.

            I've had the same problem as Susan this morning. Running php commands in terminal uses the system default version of PHP, whereas MAMP uses its own install. To get around this I added an alias to MAMP's PHP executable and it now runs fine
