    Hi all,

I thought I'd quickly write this post up in hopes of some advice before I head off for a physio appointment (this programming-business is hell on your back!).

Anyway, our client is after a flash flipbook, but they have some specific requirements:

So, what do you guys think? I've only found really rudimentary flash flipbooks on ActiveDen, but nothing as profesh-looking as the RCR Annual Report example.

      Maybe this is helpfull?

We use Flippingbook Publisher, just upload a pdf in the program and it spits out html files even for mobile. But I'm not sure inline linking and searching is possible.
Evolution user, I like the back-end speed and simplicity smiley
      • A really good and powerfull (but - depending on your needs - paid) service we use is Issuu: http://issuu.com
It allows embeding the flipbook on your website, including your own table of contents, search, links from your Pdf will work, the newest version also works on non-flash devices, ...

Ooh..interesting. FlippingBook looks promising. I came across that website earlier but the demos took ages to load so I gave up...but it must have been my net connection at the time coz I can view it properly now..? It looks as if the Search function is available on it, actually.

I am not sure if inline linking is possible either. It would require HTML-ing everything up like that example you gave to me from Code Canyon (which also looks promising!)

Thanks heaps. I was going to give up..but as usual, MODx Forums to the rescue smiley

If you are looking for other alternative standalone flash flipping book type creators, one to look at is eMagCreator which includes hyperlinking and search. I believe they also have support for HTML5 on mobile devices.

Have a look at there website:
            http://www.emagcreator.com

Compared to other online ebooks the Interactive Investor example above is very messy and way too complicated UI.

I'm also using flippingbook publisher, but if you are interested here is a html+js solution - http://www.turnjs.com/
              • Now that is impressive! A bit pricey, though. Here's a few JQuery flipbook examples (turnjs is included) http://www.jqueryrain.com/2012/12/best-jquery-page-flip-book-effect-with-examples/

Thanks for all of the great suggestions. I looked through all of them and I've decided to go with Flippingbook because it's got all of the requirements (Standalone, Search function, Table of Contents..and maybe even hyperlinks)

                  Thanks again smiley

Hi, you may download free version of Kvisoft flip page maker.
It meets that 2 requirements your client requested:
                    1. Add text with hyperlink on flipbook pages.
                    2. Have table of contents (TOC).
It just a few clicks before you publish your own flash flipbook. It will look better than the Annual Report example you list.
