ok ok =)...got ya! It was my chrome cache preventing me from seeing that uglyness^^...tried FF and IE9 and voila there it is, cleared the cache and now I also have it in chrome (damn =D)...that's actually quite bad, will digg into this in a moment and if necessary restore the old file from the commit, rather have the small tvs than break the usability more or less...
Edit: tracked it down more or less but don't know how to really fix...
problem 1. file tvs (width 921px, and some more stuff wrong there, couldn't fix it manually)
problem 2. image tvs (would be fixed if that 97% would be 100%, but can by all means not find some 97 in the extjs)
i fixed it the bad way by just replacing the new manager/assets/modext/widgets/element/modx.panel.tv.renders.js with the old one from here:
https://github.com/modxcms/revolution/blob/abd0e6bd0b322858869ac3888255cfba9d008738/manager/assets/modext/widgets/element/modx.panel.tv.renders.js
seems like just that one file has to be reverted to make it work "the old way" again...too bad, it's just a nightmare to debug that extjs markup mess...man
