    Hi Guys,

As the title says, on one of my installations i can't update/save certain resources. Some work and a lot of others don't. I have tried clearing the cache, flushing perms, sessions, changing template, removing locks and changing permission to directories but nothing seems to be doing the job. Just gets stuck.

Any help would be much appreciated as this is on a clients live site.

    Thanks,

Alex [ed. note: alexmercenary last edited this post 11 years ago.]

Quick update, so i can use quick update and save on the resources that won't save from normal full resource update page. Any thoughts?

I have this problem on an older installation of Revo, and a forum search seems to indicate that the size of (amount of text in) the resource (or template) affects whether it will save. I had to use a db manager like phpMyAdmin to update the database directly.
        • This may actually have something to do with the hosting security settings. Not only can the POST be aborted if certain key words are present, but the size of the POST fields can be controlled.

Ok thanks guys! I will look into this. There isn't that much content in on the particular resources which need saving, nor in their respective templates but it's definitely worth a shot asking them.

Will let you know how I get on.

Ok quick update... Susan was right. The hosting company have stated that it is a security issue and they need to make an exception to stop POST fields aborting.

              Nice one Susan!
