Hello Paulp, probably you are right!
I've read somewere on the knowledgebase that I can also use this string in .htaccess to filter the problem:
    SecFilterEngine On
    SecFilterSelective "POST_PAYLOAD" "the-blocked-string" "allow,nolog"

But when I tried it, it blocked all modx from functioning properly: no page of the site loaded (error 500), the manager never loaded and gived out an erro.
So I'm now asking the host to turn off that setting, but since they had a lot of hacker attacks lately, I don't know if they will do it.

Probably the "banned" word is "system" :O

As I guessed, the hosting refuses to set off the mod-security and asks me a way to reproduce the error on a single page to make "an ecception", because they say that removing it removes the security of their site. -__-

      • If they make an exception for /manager/index.php that should be all you need.

I had same issue, was a modsecurity rule the host implemented recently due to the large volumes of wordpress and joomla attacks they have been getting. my particle rule violation was one relating to adult content.
