    Hi everyone,

    I am having an issue with my manager after the installation of wayfinder hanged and didn't finish.
    While installing wayfinder the pop up log/progress window didn't do anything for about 5 min, I then refreshed the page and the page went blank. The front website works fine but I get a blank page when I go to www.sitename/beta/manager

    I checked the tree files system and I see that wayfinder is in the cache and spidered throughout.
    If it makes a deference I installed Modx using the godaddy application installer.

    Things I tried:
    I emptied my browser cache and refreshed the page.
    I tried changing the name of the wayfinder cache files to make it think it was deleted.
    I also did the same thing to the wayfinder folder adding "aa" to see if I get back an error.. no luck.

    Is there a way to manually uninstall it so I can fix this?
    Has anyone experience this before?

    Any feedback and help would be greatly appreciated.

    Specs:
    Modx Revo 2.1.3-pl
    LINUX, PHP 5.1, JAVA 1.4.2, CGI 2.0, PERL 5.0, PYTHON 2.4, MYSQL 4.1, 5.0

    Thanks

    You can clear the cache manually by deleting everything in the core/cache directory.

    I can't help with the wayfinder issue, but I did learn how to clear the cache outside of the manager recently so I'm sharing with you :~}

    May I ask why you deleted wayfinder? No likie? (just curious...)

    hello.. anyone..?

    After extensive google and modx forum searches I still haven't found anything. I've tried a number of things to try and uninstall this plugin manually but no luck.

    I have no idea if this can be a config file issue or a database issue, everything seems to be pointing to the right directory.

    Can anyone help me get started by pointing me in the right direction, please
    If I find anything I'll post the results here for anyone with the same issue.

    Thanks

    Hi Frogabog,

    Thank you for your reply, I will try to delete the files in the cache as soon as finish writing this reply.

    I was actually trying to install it when the install froze, I then refreshed the page and the manager went blank on me. I am trying to uninstall it to try and reinstall it and hope no issues come up.

    Thanks again, I'll post back the results.

    Yay!

    Hey, I also learned recently to make sure to check the database if something goes horribly wrong. Put that one in your pocket for next time. Ask yourself... what is MODX asking for, but not locating? Could there be a database field I can check?

    Searching here can be tricky at times too. I've found that a specific google search pulls up more relevant forum topics than searching here (at times). Phrasing is also difficult to pin down with the global aspect of English syntax variables weighing in.

    Hours can be lost...

    Oh, and just for kicks and giggles (or clarification), I'm a girl kind of frog :~}

    edit::always use "MODX" with any google search string. Forum posts will always show this way.
