    Some stats:

    Using MOD x 0.9.6.3.

    TinyMCE version: 3.2.4.1
    FCKEditor version: 2.6.4

The problem is with using TinyMCE and trying to upload a pdf and using it as a link.

When we click on the “Insert/Edit Link” it comes up with the “Moxiecode Image Manager” instead, instead of a file manager (which I’d assume it would go for the “FCKeditor - Resources Browser”, since that is the only file manager I have installed... I think).

If I use FCKedtior as the main editor, the "Insert/Edit" link takes you to the the "FCKeditor - Resources Browser" and I can upload the pdf and create the link. If I click on the "Insert Image" button it opens up the "FCKeditor - Resources Browser" in the "images" folder, which is what I would expect (is it possible to configure the "Moxiecode Image Manager" to appear instead?)

I know these are essentially third part plugins, but I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction, or at least give me a firm "you're doing it wrong" reality check
    Any ideas?

I don't think the problem is the same
That thread is about selecting a resource type and trying to link to images. :S

I've played around using that thread as a basis... but still no joy When I click on "insert/edit link" it still opens up the Moxiecode image manager.

thanks for the tip tho. It was an interesting read
yeah I'm not sure what is going on. Is that the Moxiecode File Browser that is opening?

Clarification: I bought the Moxiecode Image Manager plugin to work with TinyMCE. Clicking on the "Insert New Image" button brings up the Moxiecode Image Manager. Previously, clicking on the "Insert/Add Link" in TinyMCE allowed me to use the FCKeditor File Manager (which is normal by default right?), but now it brings up the Moxiecode Image Manager instead.

Was there any resolution to this? I'm having the same issue.

Am still looking for a solution for this. Why does MCE Image Manager become the default browser under the Insert/Edit Link -> Browse button?

I've received a response from the TinyMCE developers here http://www.tinymce.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=94949#p94949. They say I would need to create my own custom file browser (which is exactly what MODx has). However, I can't find where the Image Manager overrides the call for the MODx browser. Any ideas anyone?
