TinyMCE "Valid Elements" & "Valid Children"#

Hello,

Because the settings for TinyMCE's "Valid Elements" and "Valid Children" aren't accessible through ModX Revo 2.1.1 System > System Settings manager, I was advised by Moxie to add the HTML5 elements my layouts use to those comma-separated lists in tinyMCE.init. Can anyone point me to where I might find this file?

I tried adding the extended_valid_elements to tinyMce through the system settings, but No luck.
the setting shows up alright but it doesn't seem to work.
I tried adding 'div[style]/*' to the extended_valid_elements i created there. but it doesn't work.
