registration auto login#

I know this has been asked before and a possible solution / class kindly provided by MrDutchy ... http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,45824.msg342827.html#msg342827

but I'm not sure how to use this in the templates - i.e. after registration I have &regSuccessId=`` to load up the login page, but does anyone know how best to bring in the autologin / username/password submitted in the reg form?

Maybe it might be possible to set the Webloginpe cookies - username and password at registration maybe a plugin that takes the posted values applies md5 and sets the cookies? Then maybe built in autologin could work?
