[solved] no quick manager after update#

did an update from 0.9.6.3 to 1.0.4 all went fine, except that quick manager does not load into the pages. no code for quick manager in the head nor body of the content page. manager works fine. also, after i go to preview a page from manager, to check quick manager, i have to login again when i go back to the manager tab. related
any thoughts on where i might start looking for the issue?

Make sure that you uploaded the qm folder into your assets/plugins folder, and that you installed/upgraded QM when you ran the installer for the upgrade.

Check the plugin; it may be disabled.

have run the install/upgrade a coupla times and the qm folder is in place. quick edit was still installed so i removed that.

any other thoughts?

solved. found a php.ini file that no longer was pertinent to the site that was causing the issues (including the login problem).
