Hi all, I recently upgraded from 0.9.6.3 to 1.0.1. Everything went in smoothly as far as I've been able to test, nothing seems broken, but I did notice something weird.

When I go into my configuration settings, I am displayed this:

Mac OS X 2ATTR**K&&com.apple.quarantine0000;4a1b0f91;Safari;|com.apple.SafariThis resource fork intentionally left blank
Warning: array_keys() [function.array-keys]: The first argument should be an array in /var/www_local/pbpcms/manager/actions/mutate_settings.dynamic.php on line 1290

The code repeats itself quite a bit, and at the end, it presents me the configuration options. Since I am on a mac, I initially though this was a mac related bug, so I tested on a PC at the office and got exactly the same results, so it is not the mac.

    I am including a screenshot.

    I appreciate any help.

    Tx.

I would try upgrading again, making sure you overwrite your /manager files -- the upgrade to 1.0.1 is tricky, because you got to overwrite many of the /asset files too, but that's where you've probably got all of your custom images etc. If you've got all your data backed up (database, etc.) then I'd try this:

    1. replace the files on the web server with the folders from the 1.0.1 package (double check your FTP client... looks like something went wonky if you're seeing stuff about OS X resource forks)
    2. Add your own images, snippets, etc. to the new /assets folder
    3. Re-run the /install script and make sure you check "Upgrade Existing installation"

See if that helps. But MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BACKUP!

I just tried re-uploading everything from a newly downloaded zip file from modxcms.com. Seems like everything is broken now, I get a blank page on the front end and as soon as I login to the manager there is no style definition, no images and just plain, broken, unformatted text. There seems to be no JS either. So it would appear that there is something wrong with my uploads somehow.

I am now trying to upload through regular FTP program instead of Dreamweaver and see if that fixes it. If it doesn't I will try deleting everything on the server and re-uploading only the original installation files as suggested.

I'll reply back again with my findings.

    Cheers,

    Try download from svn http://svn.modxcms.com/svn/tattoo/tattoo/branches/1.0.x/

Thank you I am downloading a backup of the site right now so I can delete all files and upload just the modx files and see if I still have problems.

I have no idea how it happened but the no styles, unformatted text problem was due to the manager theme not being saved. I managed to navigate to the configuration page and selected the right manager theme and saved it again and it seems to work then, but the configuration page still had all the weird stuff in it.

I will test with the svn download when my backup is done. Thanks.

1.0.1 is very buggy. I don't recommend to install.
Use distributive from svn, and say if it helps.

after deleting everything on the server and uploading-installing from scratch from the svn referenced above I now have no issues. All pages display correctly.

    Thanks for the help.

    Hi...

I got the same thing on a Mac with the download from the main modxcms site.

Sorry for dumb question...how do you download from the SVN repositories? Can't right click from browser or anonymous ftp....

    Thanks,
    Mark.

You will need a mac SVN client. This is the one I am currently using

but there are plenty available online. Try googling mac svn client:

You know, this could all be caused by your FTP client... there are certain things that will corrupt the files. I'd say try Cyberduck if you're on a Mac, wipe everything off your web server, then try uploading a fresh install.
