    Hi!

in 2.1.3 I have found no way of moving files that I uploaded with the file manager, drag and drop in the tree shows only the "not allowed" symbol. And in the file manager, the dragged files just snap back.

I can create folders and can upload files, so permissions should be sufficient.

    What am I missing?

    D.

Could someone please tell me if it really not possible from the manager to copy/move files to other folders? Cannot believe it...

Or is there a setting that I missed?

    Thanks!

There is currently no move feature for files in MODX. MODX is primarily a web publishing framework, not a file system management tool. That said, I'm sure it would be a welcome feature if it were added to the minimal file management tools we do provide within MODX in the near future.

    Thanks for clarification.

IMHO thats a very important missing feature. Web publishers need to be able to move and re-order uploaded pictures, PDFs, download-items.

Actually I found that it's possible to move a file or folder inside a folder at the same depth renaming like this: foldername/filename.

Anyway it doesn't work if you want to pull outside of a folder "../filename".

    Am I right?
