...is actually pretty simple. Just go sign and submit a CLA, and then go signup for a GitHub account.
Then you can fork the modxcms/revolution repository and clone your newly forked repository.
From there, you use Git normally, and can send a Pull Request when you've got code to send over. The MODx Integration Managers will approve or deny your patch, and it'll be in the main MODx repository!
