Search box in resource tree#

I thought I ever saw a plugin to do something like this, but I cannot find anything like it now. If it already exists, please somebody do let me know.

I would like to see a search filter at the top of the resource tree, so I can more easily find the resource I want to edit among what might be hundreds of others.
