Threads about Modules, Plugins, Snippets.. and Classes or any add-on for MODx:
If you are writing or changing an add-on: Module, Plugin & Snippet Creation and Modification
If you have an idea for an add-on, but you are not going to write it yourself: Wishlist
If you have a beta version of an add-on that needs testing and feedback from both a usage and a programming point of view, and/or assistance with documentation: Module, Plugin & Snippets In Development
If you have an add-on that is ready for the world: Add it to the Repository
If you are looking for an add-on: There are a few places to look. Here they are in order of priority. Stop when you find what you want.
Look in Repository first.
Then read the List of resources not in Repository post.
Then try the old Module, Plugin & Snippet Usage forum.
Then try Module, Plugin & Snippets In Development bearing in mind that these are pre-release add-ons.
If all these fail, consider writing it yourself (see above) or asking others to code up your idea (see above).
If you have an issue with an add-on First, check to see if there is a new version of the add-on in the Repository, and if that resolves your issue.
Also, re-read the instructions there as there may have been an update to the text since you installed the add-on.
If this doesn't help, it is worth looking at the new MODx Wiki category pages for Snippets, Plugins or Modules as appropriate. There's not much on the Wiki yet, but what is there is usually clear and easy to read, which is why it is worth checking first.
If the Wiki fails you, find the correct support area.
There are dedicated forums for Ditto/Newslisting, DropMenu and MaxiGallery.
And now also for eForm, Jot and Wayfinder.
Every other add-on in the Repository has a thread in Repository Items Support.
There is a link to the thread in the Repo listing.
Add-ons that are not yet in the Repository have threads in Module, Plugin & Snippet Usage or Module, Plugin & Snippets In Development as appropriate.
You should read the whole thread or review the forum as appropriate to see if your issue has been addressed already.
