    Hello,

I tried to run the installation process on my local Windows Server 2008 (IIS 7) on a website located on a different port, for example:
    http://myserver:196/setup

but after I select the language of choice the installation redirects to the default 80 port:

    http://myserver/setup/index.php?action=welcome

which obviously displays an error "No input file specified.".

Then I manually changed the URL to:

    http://myserver:196/setup/index.php?action=welcome

I clicked the "next" button and again the page is redirected to the 80 port:

    http://myserver/setup/index.php?action=options

Is there anything that can be done?

    Thanks.

    Mc

Make sure IIS is reporting $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'] as myserver:196

Not a PHP expert, but according to this: http://php.net/manual/en/reserved.variables.server.php

    Shouldn't modx take: $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'] . $_SERVER['SERVER_PORT']
    instead of just $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'] ?

No. The HTTP_HOST variable represents the Host: header sent by the client. From the RFC2616 for HTTP 1.1 Header Field Definitions:
A "host" without any trailing port information implies the default port for the service requested (e.g., "80" for an HTTP URL).
