    Hi,

I have only done 1 or 2 MODx sites so far and more of a designer than a programmer. So asking today if the following are possible with MODx and any pointers on where to look to be able to do them.

    1. Add a simple solution for a shop
    - it will have a max of 10 products (membership/services based products)
    - if possible for the shopping cart to appear as though its part of the site.

    2. My client wants to add a survey form/ feedback.
    - I can add a form already but is there a way for the results of the form to be collated into a document the client can then download and analyse the results on a monthly basis?

    3. Add an automatic pop-up banner to the homepage i.e. you land on the homepage and a pop-up banner appears with an offer - you can either click on the offer that will take you to another page on the website or you click a close tag to get rid of it.

Are all these things possible with MODx?

    Thanks :-)

I would use dedicated web services for the first two. Something like

    http://www.foxycart.com/
    http://www.surveymonkey.com/

As for the third, just find a jquery script that you like to do that. Make a chunk with the HTML structure the jquery requires to make a popup out of it, then put the chunk tags wherever you want; it could go at the beginning of the content of your home page or you could use a TV with a type of radio buttons to select whether or not to have the popup on any given page.
