Is there a syntax yet to pass a TV to a snippet as a parameter, e.g. [[ProtectEmail?email=[*contactemail*]]]?

I could put the code to do that in each snippet itself, but obviously it would be better built into the parser.

try using $modx->getTemplateVar("contactemail"). See the "API Quick Reference Guide" document

Sure, but I'm talking about passing it in a snippet call, not within a snippet itself. It seems there currently isn't a way to do that, so I'll submit it as a wishlist item. Wouldn't this be a simple but nice thing to build into the parser?
