    Never heard of it and never used it before ... ... so cant tell if its same or not, but having a quick look over PieX, it looks good.

    SimplePie looks very nice indeed; much better than Magpie and leaps and bounds above my NewsParserX! I would love to see an add-on for this in MODx, so I'm downloading it now and seeing if I can make a language-independent version to post in the repository.

    Ahh....great to hear, I was just about to say I was going to try and make this into a snippet since I integrated it into my GoogleEvents snippet, but I am more of a hobbyist, and your version will likely be way better. Can't wait to see it Jason.
